Other Details to Note
The Abilene is a historic home built in 1891. Its soaring 11-foot ceilings are one of its most distinctive features, and they also mean the staircase to the second floor is steeper than in a modern home. Please keep this in mind if anyone in your party may have difficulty with stairs. Bedroom location note: The main floor bedroom is closest to Drayton Street. Guests in this room may hear some street noise and pedestrian activity and we provide sound machines for added comfort. Security cameras are located at the front and back doors for security purposes. They record the entry doors and stairs only — no audio is recorded anywhere on the property. Traveling during hurricane season? We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your stay in the event a storm affects your travel plans.
